Melinda & Keith: Engagements

Melinda & Keith are getting married this Saturday! They are one of the most wonderful couple's I've ever had the pleasure of working with. These two love birds are crazy in love and it shows from the inside out.

Rebecca with Millie Holloman Photography just posted the sneak peek of their engagement photos and here are a couple of my favs! I can't wait for Saturday.

The Bride's Book - Check Us Out!

We are excited to report that one of our very own weddings has been featured on page 85 in the Fall/Winter 2009 issue of The Bride's Book! The online version is out now and print will hit the stands November 16; so be sure to check it out!

This article features the beautiful wedding of Brooke and Michael at Arlie Gardens in Wilmington, NC. Brooke and Michael wanted their special day to be fun and relaxing so everyone could celebrate stress free and that's exactly what they got! The weather was beautiful, the food was true to its home with delicious coastal cuisine as wells as some of the grooms favorite local brews.

Everything came together beautifully with the delightful candy bar to the breath taking flowers on every table. Brooke's chic elegance shined through when the bridesmaids walked down the isle in full length navy blue silk dresses followed by Brooke in a stunning Monique Lhullier lace gown with a sweet-heart neck and cap sleeves. The groom and his groomsmen looked dashing and quite "beachy" in their tan suits with a rich brown dress shoe. It was a perfect mix of city chic meets Carolina.

FOC Launch Party @ The River Room

Focus on the Coast, a hip Wilmington magazine, is launching their October issue at the brand new River Room! The River Room is a fabulous new event space on the waterfront in downtown Wilmington.

We hope to see you on Thursday night from 5:30 - 8:30 pm for food, drinks & killer views of downtown.

Style Me Pretty

When you are a wedding coordinator there are many exciting moments - seeing the delight on your client's face when they first see their day brought to life, finding the perfect item to play up a detail, scoring a deal, finishing a design project early and the list goes on! However, there is one other thing that usually generates a few squeals - being published. It is such a compliment to be recognized by your peers and so much fun to share all the beautiful details of a couple's big day!

Recently, Style Me Pretty featured one of our weddings from this summer. Katy & Justin were married at Airlie Gardens and their reception was at Level 5, a killer rooftop bar in downtown Wilmington. Their amazing day was captured by the ever talented Millie Holloman & Co.

Bald Head Island

If you're just now tuning in, I will be spending the next few months playing catch up. You will see some of the beautiful events we've done in the past as well as some of the up to the moment affairs!

Last September we were asked to handle the day of management as well as all the transportation logistics for Emily & Chris's wedding on Bald Head Island. I simply love BHI! We loaded the ferry with linens, cupcakes & flowers and hit the ground running as soon as we arrived on the island.

Emily & Chris were married in front of Old Baldy, the lighthouse on the island. In a matter of minutes we became friends with both of their families and wedding party. They are all some of the sweetest and most fun people I've ever met! The reception followed at the Harborside Pavillion and guests danced the night away. Playing Catch Up

I have been very slow to design and post to my blog and for that I apologize! With wedding season in full swing, each moment seems to be filled with helping my couples achieve an event to remember. I'm having so much fun!

Over the next few weeks I will be playing catch up and posting some events from the fall of last year through this summer. I will also try to post some cost saving tips and of the moment inspiration.

The Balcony Open House

Every year at The Balcony on Dock, Jill White hosts an open house. This is free to the public and a great chance to view this beautiful, historic event space, taste the food, enjoy a glass of wine and visit with excellent wedding vendors.

Last year we were invited to be a part of this event and we are very excited to be back again this year. We will be downstairs in the Roudabush room so come by and say hello!
