Oyster Roast 

UNCW Watson School of Education 

Stellar Events' final event of the week was the Oyster Roast designed by the talented Matthew Robbins and Fiore Fine Flowers!  Due to some weather issues we had to change the location of the event last minute, but we were lucky enough to be able to use the beautiful Watson School of Education on the campus of UNCW.  

This building is a beautiful construction with high vaulted ceilings, huge glass windows, exposed metal beams and a beautiful stone floor.  The feel inside was as if you were outside on the street!  There were permanent fixtures on the main floor that were "education" related including old classroom desks and school bus seats which added extra stress trying to figure out how to hide them or work them into the design.  However, in the end everyone pulled together and the venue was transformed into a southern chic oyster roast and BBQ!  

The nights entertainment was provided by the talented Jack Jack 180 and they kept the party rockin' until the end!  Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the evening!!

2013 Festival of Flowers

Festival of Flowers

Wilmington Convention Center 

The Festival of Flowers was a wonderful event presented by Fiore Fine Flowers and was held at the Wilmington Convention Center in downtown Wilmington, NC.  At this event, guests were able to hear Matthew Robbins of Matthew Robbins Designs speak about his life and career in the event planning and floral design industry!  Local interior designer, Randy Aldridge, also spoke at the event.  Each guest was shown by Matthew how to make a beautiful floral arrangements and they even got to take the arrangements home!  Stellar Events would like to thank the talented team at Blueberry Fusion for capturing the great moments that evening!  You can see all of their images here, but here are a few of our favorites!!

2013 Festival of Flowers

'A Set Table' with Matthew Robbins

Stellar Events' second event, 'A Set Table with Matthew Robbins', was held at the beautiful 128 South.  This fun and intimate event included a presentation by the amazingly talented Matthew Robbins of Matthew Robbins Designs, where he demonstrated how he decorates and 'sets a table' for any kind of dinner or event!  The absolutely stunning china pieces were provided by Protocol  and the great team at Fiore Fine Flowers  provided the centerpieces for the luncheon as well as Matthews demonstration!  Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the afternoon!

2013 Festival of Flowers

This past week Stellar Events was honored to be a part of four amazing events, all which took place in one week and benefited the Lower Cape Fear Hospice called The Celebration of Flowers.  We were so lucky to work with the fabulous Fiore Fine Flowers and the amazingly talented Matthew Robbins as well as many other wonderful vendors to bring these events to life!  

We want to share each event with you this week with a few of our favorite pictures, enjoy! 

'Get Garden Party Ready' Fashion Show

Our first event was held at The Terraces on Sir Tyler  in Wilmington, NC.  This fun show featured women's fashion from local boutique Torri/Bell  located off of Military Cutoff Rd.  and men's fashion from Gentlemen's Corner  located in Lumina Station and was sponsored by Cape Fear Land Rover.   The talented team at Blueberry Fusion took our photos that evening!  You can see their entire album from the fashion show here!  These are a few of our favorites!

Simple & Elegant Invitations

Last week we sent out a beautiful set of wedding invitations for some of our clients!  The lovely couple is getting married here in Wilmington, NC this March.  The countdown to the big day is on!  

These invitations came out perfectly!  They are so simple, yet so elegant at the same time.  The invitations were done by the wonderful Mindy & Angie's Fine Paper and they delivered as always!  

The invitation set was simple consisting of the invitation on a flat ivory cardstock.  The invitation was printed in a beautiful charcoal grey with the names printed in a shimmery gold.  The beautiful mix of print and script added a beautiful touch of elegance.  The script at the top of and the bottom of the invitation frame the information perfectly.  We love the ampersand on the invitation as well, beautiful touch!

The R.S.V.P. card was just as simple and again the script on the card is beautiful.  The font mirrors the invitation as well to allow it to tie in together!  We also love the option of "will happily attend" because it adds a bit more playfulness to an already sophisticated invitation.
  

The Wedding Details card was beautiful as well and didn't overload the guest with too much information.  Sometimes these cards get a bit too busy so we love that this was kept simple and clean with the important details listed.  We think the flourish that separates the Ceremony & Reception information is lovely, it's one of our favorites!  Our favorite part is the note at the bottom - "No gifts please.  Your presence is present enough."  Such as sweet request from such a lovely couple!!  

We are so looking forward to this beautiful wedding!!  It's going to be a wonderful night and it's coming up, right around the corner!! 



  

Jeanie & Jimmy | Part 1

Jimmy & Jeanie are such a fun couple! They came to me, slightly bruised, from their previous wedding coordinator. I could tell they were leery to start the planning/design process from scratch but I promised them a few things - this would be FUN, we could do A LOT with their budget and it would be FUN!

They jumped on board and never looked back. We had a blast planning and designing! Every time I talked to Jeanie I could hear her bursting at the seams with joy and excitement. The big day arrived and it did not disappoint! It was gorgeous and filled with love and joy.
