2013 Festival of Flowers

This past week Stellar Events was honored to be a part of four amazing events, all which took place in one week and benefited the Lower Cape Fear Hospice called The Celebration of Flowers.  We were so lucky to work with the fabulous Fiore Fine Flowers and the amazingly talented Matthew Robbins as well as many other wonderful vendors to bring these events to life!  

We want to share each event with you this week with a few of our favorite pictures, enjoy! 

'Get Garden Party Ready' Fashion Show

 The Terraces on Sir Tyler

Our first event was held at The Terraces on Sir Tyler  in Wilmington, NC.  This fun show featured women's fashion from local boutique Torri/Bell  located off of Military Cutoff Rd.  and men's fashion from Gentlemen's Corner  located in Lumina Station and was sponsored by Cape Fear Land Rover.   The talented team at Blueberry Fusion took our photos that evening!  You can see their entire album from the fashion show here!  These are a few of our favorites!

Simple & Elegant Invitations

Last week we sent out a beautiful set of wedding invitations for some of our clients!  The lovely couple is getting married here in Wilmington, NC this March.  The countdown to the big day is on!  

These invitations came out perfectly!  They are so simple, yet so elegant at the same time.  The invitations were done by the wonderful Mindy & Angie's Fine Paper and they delivered as always!  

The invitation set was simple consisting of the invitation on a flat ivory cardstock.  The invitation was printed in a beautiful charcoal grey with the names printed in a shimmery gold.  The beautiful mix of print and script added a beautiful touch of elegance.  The script at the top of and the bottom of the invitation frame the information perfectly.  We love the ampersand on the invitation as well, beautiful touch!

The R.S.V.P. card was just as simple and again the script on the card is beautiful.  The font mirrors the invitation as well to allow it to tie in together!  We also love the option of "will happily attend" because it adds a bit more playfulness to an already sophisticated invitation.
  

The Wedding Details card was beautiful as well and didn't overload the guest with too much information.  Sometimes these cards get a bit too busy so we love that this was kept simple and clean with the important details listed.  We think the flourish that separates the Ceremony & Reception information is lovely, it's one of our favorites!  Our favorite part is the note at the bottom - "No gifts please.  Your presence is present enough."  Such as sweet request from such a lovely couple!!  

We are so looking forward to this beautiful wedding!!  It's going to be a wonderful night and it's coming up, right around the corner!! 



  

Jeanie & Jimmy | Part 1

Jimmy & Jeanie are such a fun couple! They came to me, slightly bruised, from their previous wedding coordinator. I could tell they were leery to start the planning/design process from scratch but I promised them a few things - this would be FUN, we could do A LOT with their budget and it would be FUN!

They jumped on board and never looked back. We had a blast planning and designing! Every time I talked to Jeanie I could hear her bursting at the seams with joy and excitement. The big day arrived and it did not disappoint! It was gorgeous and filled with love and joy.

I'm so excited to attend The Academy for Planners + Designers in San Francisco this weekend! It is sure to be a jam packed 3.5 days filled with inspiration, eye candy and knowledge. The best part is I'm going with one of my best friends in the whole wide world, LC, who is the planner at the Bald Head Island Club.

I got word today that one of our summer weddings is on stands now! You can find us in Southern Weddings Magazine Winter 2010 issue.

The featured couple is Chris & Mary Curry. I know I'm always talking about how much I enjoy this couple and that couple...but I really love my clients. I've been fortunate over the years to have couples that I really connect with and they become family to me. Chris and Mary are definitely in that group.

Stellar Events teamed up with Salt Harbor Designs to give Mary & Chris the best of both worlds - coordinating (SE) and design (SHD). I always enjoy working with the team at Salt Harbor and know their work will be perfection! Mary chose her color palette and caterer; from there we handled everything in between.
